The Bank’s Distinguished Visiting Fellow, Senior Fellow, Peterson Institute, Dr. Simon Johnson will interact with veteran regional journalist, Julian Rogers on the topic “What’s Next for the Global Economy” with specific focus on:

  • The State of world economics;
  • Entrepreneurship and its contribution to growth and his global entrepreneurship lab;
  • The end of banking;
  • The emergence of digital currencies;
  • The power and responsibility of central banks;
  • What’s happening with income equality.

This discussion promises to be every bit as stimulating and informative as his predecessors’, Fred Bergsten’s and Dr. Peter Blair Henry’s, our 2014 and 2015 Fellows respectively.  Simon’s CV includes a two year stint as the IMF’s Economic Counsellor, service with the Congressional Budget Office and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Professor of Enterpreneurship at MIT Sloan School of Management.
